Sean M. Strouth is a Senior Associate Architect at the Office of Thierry W Despont Ltd. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, and was raised in the Hudson River Valley. A graduate of Cornell University with a BFA in printmaking and a minor in Art History. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree summa cum laude from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Shortly after graduating in 1992, his Senior Thesis was awarded a regional first place in the European design competition for a Future Bauhaus.

He has been involved in a variety of projects since joining the Office of Thierry W Despont in 1997, including residences in New York, Napa Valley, Martha’s Vineyard, San Francisco, the Bahamas, and Italy. He was also part of the design team that restored the public spaces for the Carlyle Hotel, including Bemelman’s Bar. He was project manager for the award winning flagship boutiques for Harry Winston in Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Osaka and headed the project team for the Chopard flagship jewelry boutique in New York.

Mr. Strouth currently resides in Closter, New Jersey, with his wife, Lisa.
