Matthew V. Maddalene is a Managing Senior Associate at the Office of Thierry W Despont Ltd. Born and raised in the New York area, he graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. In 1987 he was invited to be a guest instructor for the Core Architectural Theory Course at the New York School for Interior Design.

Matthew has been with the Office of Thierry W Despont since 1990. He has worked as a project manager on residential projects in Greenwich, Connecticut; Napa Valley; San Francisco; Martha’s Vineyard; the Bahamas; London; Piemonte, Italy; and St. Moritz, Switzerland; and on several apartments in New York City. His commercial projects include InterAudi Bank Headquarters in New York, the Ralph Lauren Flagship store, Claridge’s Hotel, the Dorchester Hotel in London, several projects in Paris - the Hôtel de Crillon, the Peninsula, the Ritz, the Rue de Grenelle Residences – the Westwood Hotel and Residences in Singapore, the Divan Hotel in Istanbul, as well as the award-winning Edmond J. Safra Synagogue in New York City.
